Wayfinder (alternatively, The Sword of Wisdom) is one of the Twelve Swords of Power featured in the Books of Swords series by Fred Saberhagen.

Appearance[]
Wayfinder is virtually indistinguishable from the other Swords of Power (barring Soulcutter), with the exception of a white arrow engraved on the hilt. It is a one-meter, double-bladed Sword with a black hilt, forged by Vulcan from a meteorite and cooled in human blood. Like the other Swords, Wayfinder retains its edge and luster regardless of use.
Abilities[]
Wayfinder possesses the ability to lead its wielder to their goal, even leading them to the items and people necessary to complete the quest. The major drawback to the sword, however, is that it does not lead the wielder along the safest route, opting instead for the most dangerous path possible.
